As Ngurunderi travelled down the Murray River in his canoe, chasing the giant Murray cod, he created the Murray River, the lakes and everything in Ngarrindjeri country.

He also created the Ngarrindjeri people who live on the Murray River, the lakes and in the Coorong. He taught everyone the traditions, dances, songs and everything they needed to survive and manage their daily lives.

This painting was created during a developmental workshop with Better World Arts, supported by Arts SA.

Cedric experimented with colour and line to evolve his style into a bold and flowing expression, full of life and passion.
