This Old Tom gin from Kangaroo Island is aged for a short time in French oak barrels that have been re-charred.
Local aniseed and lemon myrtle give this classic old-style gin a sweet character.
KIS Old Tom is handcrafted in small batches and won the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards in 2016.
The gin has become a global champion and was also awarded double gold at the SIP Awards in California.
KIS is one of Australia's first gin distilleries, founded on Kangaroo Island.
Since then, the distillery has built a reputation as one of Australia's best gin distilleries and has won numerous awards at the world's top competitions, including the International Wine and Spirits Competition in London and the SIP Awards in California.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Initial citrus followed by cleansing juniper
Palate: sweet creamy vanilla, a hint of aniseed, light toasted toffee and caramel notes\
Finish: long-lasting juniper finish
